Welcome to the Epsilon Iota Chapter of Eta Sigma Phi!

We make most of our announcements on Facebook! Join our Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/EtaSigmaPhiUF/

Also, our email listserv can be found at http://dir.groups.yahoo.com/group/espuf/ Joining will keep you up to date on our most current events and even more special opportunities in the Classics Department!

The Eta Sigma Phi chapter at UF is part of the National Classics Honor Society. Our goal is to keep the classical world alive, whether it be by enthusing about ancient history or enjoying the nuances Latin and ancient Greek (even though knowledge about these languages and cultures is not required to have fun in our club). While we enjoy hosting socials and putting on classical themed events, we also keep a focus on volunteering and giving back to our community.

We offer services to generate interest in the UF Classics Department as well. On top of spreading the word about departmental events, twice a month, in the two hours prior to meetings, we have tutoring sessions for Latin. These are held in Dauer 125 which is the same general area as our regular meetings, so if you’re struggling in your class, be sure to come by.

Joining Eta Sigma Phi is a good way to get ahead in your classics classes and feed your interest in the ancient world!
